Chiranjeevi, often hailed as the "Megastar" of Telugu cinema, has left an indelible mark on the Indian film industry with his charismatic presence, versatile acting skills, and enduring popularity. Born as Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad on August 22, 1955, in Mogalthur, Andhra Pradesh, he later adopted the screen name Chiranjeevi, which aptly translates to "immortal being" in Sanskrit, reflecting his iconic status in the hearts of millions of fans.

Chiranjeevi's journey to stardom began in the late 1970s when he made his acting debut with the film "Punadhirallu" in 1979. However, it was his breakthrough role in "Khaidi" (1983) that catapulted him to fame and established him as a leading actor in the Telugu film industry.

Apart from his contributions to cinema, Chiranjeevi has also been actively involved in philanthropic endeavors through the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust. In 2006, he was honored with the Padma Bhushan, and in 2024, he received India's second-highest civilian honor, the Padma Vibhushan.
